Camping with the Goossen's...
This summer Brent and I vowed to do more camping since we live in the prime camping capital of the world, Colorado. (It's not really but I'm going to say it is.) Last summer we didn't camp at all and decided to take advantage of what we are so fortunate to have. So when Crystal and Goose (Derek) called us and asked if we wanted to go camping with them we jumped at the opportunity.
I don't know about you but my favorite part about camping is the camp fire. Here Bridget and her little friend Riley are enjoying the delicacies of the forest... s'mores.
Riley's dad works on the same shift as Brent does and Bridget and him have been great buddies from day one. They were both very excited to go hiking first thing in the morning.
It didn't take long for them to tucker out.
Everyone took turns toting the little tot up to the top. This is Riley's little sister Peyton. She's such a cutie.
This is the same trail that I made Amy hike with me earlier in the summer. Once you get to the top you get to explore the fire tower and sign in your name. If you'r lucky you could even get a certificate of completion. The forest ranger standing in the corner lives in a cabin at the end of the trail. It's always weird to see his underwear hanging on the clothes line in his little yard.
