Halloween Dress Rehearsal

One of the local gardens had a free trick or treat street last Friday. It was so much fun, they decorated the garden with Halloween lights and had lots of scary stuff hanging in the trees. Bridget had fun navagating her way from booth to booth in the spooky garden.
She decided that she wanted to be a dead witch with a mole.
Too cute.

"Powums"

Bridget has joined a group at school called "Reflections". It's kind of an art club where once a month you submit a project. You can paint a picture, compose a song, take a picture, or write a poem. Bridget decided to write a poem and she wanted to go to the library to look up different poems so that she could see what a real poem looks like.
The following is Bridget's powum...
Im a Rotten Rotten Girl for a day
a muanth a year
I can be Rotten If I Wunt to.

Harvest Moon

Can you hear the owls hooting?
We walked outside to see this gigantic moon. It was so bright and magnificent. We didn't do a very good job of capturing it, but it was so awesome we had to try.
This is my picture. The little light next to the moon is light coming from a house.

Bridget had to try to capture it too, she got mad because it kept "wiggling". So, we called it a shooting moon.

Where did the time go?

I'm not sure if you've noticed but once school started I have had a harder time keeping up my blog. Things have been so crazy but I like blogging because it makes me look for the good things in life. So, with that being said, I think it's time for us to catch up like old friends do. I wanted to take this time to introduce the new member of our family...

SCOUT THE MUTT!

Brent had been begging for a dog for the longest time and I surprised him for our 4th wedding anniversary. Brent had no idea! We had made plans to meet him in Breckenridge when he got off of work during Labor Day weekend to go hiking. But we came with a little gift tucked into my purse.
