Day 2

The view from my back window.
When my husband told me we had a view of the foothills I was so excited. You can see the Rocky Mountain foothills from miles around. When we lived in Castle Rock I would go on runs at the crack of dawn and I loved how the sunrise reflected pink off of the foot hills. Now the same hills that I would look at thirty miles away are pretty much in my backyard. I'm greatful to be in Colorado but this hill gets on my nerves. It's kind of like looking up mother nature's ass. From far away it's beautiful but close up the mystique is gone. Plus it blocks my beloved sunsets. Luckily for me Red Rocks is just five minutes away and when I want to see a more flattering side of mother nature I can go there and take it all in.
